THE HORSES

DUTCH FRIESIANS

We have three Friesians at the moment, Rogus, Blue and Basil. All three of these boys stand at around 16hh, they are all jet black in colour with very long flowing manes and tails and a very small amount of feather  on the legs. They are beautiful movers with a very high knee action when trotting, a truly magnificent pace that shows them off to the highest degree. They are a superbly docile animal with a loving temperament. They can be driven as a pair or unicorn.

SUFFOLK PUNCH HEAVY HORSES

The Suffolk Punch is a category ‘A’ rare rare breed and is England’s oldest breed of heavy horse, we currently have two working geldings and two youngsters to bring on. All Suffolks are a rich chestnut colour with no feather on the legs,  our boys stand at 17.2hh and 18hh, these are the ‘big boys’ in the yard. and are suited to the slower, more sedate pace but it is very charming and relaxing. They are excellent for the shorter distance, country style Weddings, pub to pub runs, wagon rides,  commercial advertising and funerals.

They have taken part in many shows with wagons, inhand classes , and in decorated harness.
